Farington West Councillors George Rear and Karen Walton recently organised a public meeting to discuss a Planning Application to convert 152 Croston Road from a fourteen bedroom Home of Multiple Occupancy (HMO) to six supported living apartments for individuals with disabilities, allowing local residents to quiz the Applicants, Thriveway Living Ltd.
Over 70 residents attended a packed meeting at St Paul’s Church Hall to discuss the pros and cons of the application with George and Karen as the local Borough Councillors.
It is clear that there are a broad range of opinions on this application, both for and against. That is why George and Karen have made the decision to “Call In” the application. A Call In means that we have formally requested that the application be considered by the full Planning Committee at South Ribble Borough Council, meaning residents will have the opportunity to speak if they wish to do so, either in support or opposition.
The local Borough Councillors will continue to monitor the situation, and encourage residents with questions to get in touch.
