Association Chairman Councillor Malcolm Barron fears traditional village parades across Lancashire are in jeopardy following new guidance not to support marshalling traditional parades and walking days that have taken place across the County for generations.
Councillor Malcolm Barron has tabled a motion to the next full meeting of Lancashire County Council on February 27. He is responding to complaints from churches and hopes by raising the issue it will result in a change of heart from the Labour Police and Crime Commissionaire Clive Grunshaw.
Lancashire police says each case is considered on its own merits.
