Village parades at risk due to lack of Police support.

Association Chairman Councillor Malcolm Barron fears traditional village parades across Lancashire are in jeopardy following new guidance, support through marshalling traditional parades and walking days that have taken place across the County for generations will be withdrawn.

Councillor Malcolm Barron has tabled a motion to the next full meeting of Lancashire County Council on February 27. He's responding to complaints from churches and community groups and hopes the raising of the issue it will result in a change of heart from the Labour Police and Crime Commissionaire Clive Grunshaw.

Lancashire police says each case is considered on its own merits.
