A BUST of Her Majesty the Queen was unveiled last week by the Mayor of South Ribble at the Civic Centre, Leyland.
The idea was to emulate the marble bust created in 1897 to mark the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Queen Victoria, which can still be seen on display in County Hall today. The bust is one of 12 replicas commissioned by Lancashire Country Council to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee last year and is now taking pride of place in the entrance to the building held within a display case.
